Provides free programs that combine employment and training for youth ages 16-24. Each Youth is matched with a Career Advisor who will help develop a career plan and work toward finding and keeping a job, finishing High School or a GED, or getting training beyond high school. Financial assistance may be available. They can also help you with Resumes, Applications and interviewing, career guidance, financial literacy, paid work experience, transportation and more.

Our more than 1,300 seasonal park workers positions are great for college students, retirees or those that love to work in the outdoors. The hourly rate starts at $15.25. NMC HEAVY HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION TRAINING PROGRAM

Program:
Regional training program focused on heavy highway construction
297 Hours total – 25 hours per week instruction = 12 week program

Audience:
18 and up. HS graduate or GED required. Michigan resident.

Cost:
$0 per participant (FREE), funding provided by MiLEAP

Schedule:
January 23, 2023 – April 21, 2023 (one week off for spring break)

Credentials:
Graduates will leave with NCCER accreditation.
